Proverbs 21:11 (Written 11-20-2010)

He who loves purity of heart, and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend.

Two things and I need to have both: purity of heart and gracious speech.

Gracious speech without a pure heart is hypocrisy and conniving.

Pure heart without gracious speech can’t reach people.

But combined is power.

For me, I’m good at gracious speech. What I have to guard is my heart.

[Father, help me to guard my heart and speak with grace.]
