Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out. (NUM 9:22 NIV, 3-12-14)
This section is a great example for us. When God says Stay, stay. When God says Go, go. Stay as long as He says stay. Go as long as He keeps saying Go.
Sounds simple–if you have your very own cloud pillar. If not, well, listening for guidance can get more difficult.
Then again, maybe not. Maybe I can trust Him to speak loudly enough for me to hear what He wants me to hear. Maybe my job is to submissively listen (emphasis on submissively) and trust His volume.
[Father, help me to hear and obey your voice.]
