Your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have deprived you of good. (Jeremiah 5:25 NIV, 11-7-12)

I believe that is a universal truth, not limited to Israel. Sin keeps good from us. And sin keeps good from me.

Oh, not always the sins Jeremiah rails against. But sins like pride and the desire for control and a lack of trusting God.

These things either keep good from coming into my life or keep me from enjoying the good that is already in my life.
