“Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, ‘I will build a house for you.’ So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you.”
2 Samuel 7:27 (Originally written 5-3-11)
The courage to pray a prayer.
Not recite it. Pray it. Bring it before God as a genuine request, expecting God to answer.
That takes courage. And faith.
And sometimes persistence. And wrestling. And the attitude of “I won’t let go until You bless me.”
The courage to take something off the prayer list and put it on the wrestling list.
[Father, show me what to put on that list and give me the courage to wrestle with You in prayer, not letting go until You bless me and answer the prayer.]
