Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the lord from saving, whether by many or by few.” (1 Samuel 14:6 (4-13-2011)

Love the confidence in God, confidence I need to mirror.

And notice he placed himself in a position where God could come through. God couldn’t have worked through the rest of the Israelites if He’d wanted to, because they hadn’t put themselves in a position where God could work.

Sometimes the first act of faith isn’t doing what God says. It’s placing yourself in position where if God speaks you’re ready to obey.

[Father, help me to live close enough to the battle that you’re able to work through me whenever You choose.]
