Genesis 13:18 (Written 1-5-11)
...and there he built an altar to the LORD.
Actually, that phrase is found twice in two chapters, along with a reference to Abram returning to the first altar he built.
The only time he gets into trouble? When he goes to Egypt and fails to build an altar, a worship point.
And that’s the point I need to focus on, this year and always. There’s a lot going on. If I’m not super careful, I’ll forget to either build an altar or regularly visit an existing one. I’ll get too busy to worship and listen and pray.
Matter of fact, over the past couple weeks, out of my routine, I’ve gotten away from these crucial things. It’s time to get re-established. To rebuild the altar.
To worship.
[Father, help me to prioritize worship the way I should.]
