John 1:4 (Originally written 12-19-10)

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

All mankind.

Including <Name withheld>. A nonbelieving friend I had online “discussions” with.

Including “LousyCanuck”. An atheist on Twitter who loved to try to offend me.

Including, well, everybody.

God brings hard cases into my life. Atheists, agnostics, apathetic. People easy to give up on. People many would give up on. And He lets me build a relationship with them.

Here’s the question: After the relationship is built am I pointing them to the light, or am I too concerned about maintaining the friendship or my reputation?
