Psalm 100:3 (Originally written 12-21-10)

Know that the lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

We are his.

I am his. I’m not available to do my own thing in my own way. To chart my own course or choose my own calling (true even if I wasn’t called to be a pastor).

That means the focus must be on listening to the Shepherd’s voice. Waiting for His call, then obeying without hesitation. Whatever that call is.

[Father, help me to listen for Your voice, to obey only You, and do so without hesitation or my own planning/scheming/manipulation, but relying on You to provide the method and the resources You choose to use.]
