Isaiah 59:7-8 (Originally written 12-13-2010)

Your iniquities have made a separation
between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear.

The way of peace they do not know,
and there is no justice in their paths;
they have made their roads crooked;
no one who treads on them knows peace.
Therefore justice is far from us,
and righteousness does not overtake us;

Don’t give justice, don’t get justice.

Sin separates us from our God, separates us from His justice, even from His love.

So, if I want to receive justice, I must give justice and fight for it for others.

If I want to experience God’s love, I must give it away.

If I want God to be my God, I must live God’s character and values to others.

[Father, help me to be an agent of Your justice, Your character, Your love.]
