Proverbs 28:1 (Written 11-29-10)
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Boldness takes many forms.
Last night I got the preliminary budget. And it scared me. Twenty-percent higher than last year.
Scary stuff.
But I know the team has prayed earnestly about it. I know God has big things planned. I know we’re trying our best to accomplish his will.
So will I flee from this scary thing? Not if I claim to be a servant of God, avoiding sin, seeking forgiveness, pursuing Him.
If that’s the case I can be bold.
Even in the face of that scary, scary budget.
[Father, help me to not be afraid but to be bold wherever you lead us.]
<Note: This was 2010. I don’t know what the budget bottom line was then, but I’m sure it’s a lot bigger now, and has been every year since 2011. God’s taken care of it every time.>
