“Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.”
1 Thessalonians 5:26 NIV (Written 11-11-23)
God likes to flip things around, to take something that signifies one thing and make it point to something totally different.
You know that meal you had to eat in a hurry because you were being chased out of Egypt? Yeah, we’ll make that an annual event about God’s care (Passover). And then we’ll flip it again and make it about Jesus’ ultimate act of redemption (Lord’s Supper).
And remember that kiss Judas gave to betray Christ? We’re going to rebrand it, make it the sign of love and loyalty in the church.
What in my life does God want to rebrand from a symbol of failure to a memorial to trust?
[Father, help me to continue to trust that you can take the bad in my life and transform it into good, even great.]
